Growing up in Vermont, he and attended UVM earning a B.A. in Political Science & Economics. He lives with his family in Colchester and carries community awareness into his business practices.

In addition to sitting on local boards such as the Chittenden County Humane Society, Vermont Health Insurance Co-Op and ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center, he also takes every opportunity to employ local companies and people.
